Life: Some Words To Live By

LIFE:

You’ve either got to to deal with it, or it will deal with you. Shit’s gonna happen, accept it. Some of it you’ll have caused, some of it you’ll have attracted, some of it will be beyond your control, learn from it. Life is your biggest teacher, if you’re willing to listen and learn. Things won’t always go your way. Find a new way. Keep moving forward. Time does. Learn from it.

There is no dress rehearsal for Life. This is it. Give it your all. Give it your best. Fill your life with as much and as many experiences as you can. Some will be good and some will be bad. That’s what keeps life exciting: you never truly know. Hopefully you’ll find balance along the way.

Keep your expectations high, but your acceptance higher. Nobody’s perfect, but they are unique. Find and love your uniqueness; those things that make you ‘you’. There is greatness within all of us. Seek it out in everyone you meet, and your own greatness will be reflected back at you. Add love to every situation, good or bad. Love is the energy of Life. Love your friends. Love your family. Love yourself. But love your enemies more, because we are all one. We are all love. We are all Life.

Live your life so you can look forward to the future, if you are lucky enough to have one. Don’t dwell on the past, it’s a ship that’s sailed and is never coming back. Regrets, like grudges, will drown you, let them go, forgive, seek  forgiveness, and swim on. Embrace the present, for that is all you ever have and will have. Unwrap it as the gift it is. This is all you have and all you are.

This is your life, live it your way, on your terms. Don’t try and live someone else’s life for them, and don’t let them tell you how to live yours. Be grateful for everything you have. Even if others have more, there are many more with less. Seek them out. Help your fellow Man. In helping and serving others you will gain much, much more than you could ever give.

If you only ever believe in one thing, believe in yourself. Respect your elders, but accept they may not know what’s truly right for you. Pursue your dreams, for that is the rainbow that will bring your happiness to life. You are never given a dream without the ability to achieve it. But know your true happiness always is within you.

Live your life with passion. Laugh as often as you can, but never at anyone else’s expense, unless it’s your own.

I hope when you look back on your life you’ll smile, feel proud, and even if nobody else noticed, at least you knew you were here.

How To Overcome Fear – Part Three

As StarTrek should say, “FEAR… The final frontier!”

Think about it. What is stopping YOU from taking on the world and becommy_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleing EVERYTHING you were BORN to BE…? It’s not space, I can tell you that much! It’s…

F-E-A-R…!

  • Fuck
  • Everything
  • And
  • Run…!

That’s MY acronym. But eventually you’ll run out of energy and stop. But guess what, FEAR is right there with you, because it’s within you, with you, around you. The ONLY way to combat fear is to take it on with action. So, in Part Three, the next step in taking control over your fears is to list the top three fears you have and tackle them head-on!

What are YOUR top three fears?

This is the biggest step you’ll ever take in overcoming your fears. Once you KNOW that everybody has them, but doesn’t know how to deal with them, hopefully you’ll feel more comfortable sharing your insecurities. Once they are out of your head and in the public domain, they have no more power over you, especially if you have taken the steps to love yourself and invest in your own self-value.

In the spirit of sharing, here are my three biggest fears:

  1. Asking for help/ showing weakness
  2. Opening up/ Letting people in
  3. Lack of recognition/ rejection

I think I’ve tackled them in this blog post, and that was part of the idea. I still need help, but I’ve done it. The next step is having the confidence to get out there and do some public speaking on the subject…!

Once you know what your top three fears are, make a conscious effort every day to do what scares you most. Take baby steps at first, but make it part of your daily routine. After a while the feeling of fear will become less and less until it becomes small enough to manage. It may even disappear completely! Trust me, once you have taken control over your fears, there really will be nothing to hold you back in life.

Thank you for following and reading.

How To Overcome Fear – Part Two

my_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleAfter the overwhelming response to How To Overcome Fear 101, my first article on the subject, I decided to do overcoming fear 202, or Part Two!

We’ve all experienced fear at one time or another, so let’s just dwell on that for a minute. Here’s a short exercise that might help you the next time fear arises in your life:

  1. Think of something in the past you were afraid of, but aren’t any more.
  2. Go back in time in your memory to when you were afraid (it won’t feel the same, as you’ve gone past it, but try to remember how you felt)
  3. Try as best as you can to visualize yourself trying to confront it.
  4. The more you thought about NOT doing it, the bigger and more frightening it became, right?
  5. What did you do and think about to NOT confront it?
  6. That didn’t help, did it?
  7. Now either one of two things happened: A. You were forced to confront it, or B. You were brave enough to tackle it yourself.
  8. You came out the other side and YOU SURVIVED…!

Overcoming fear is a daily challenge for us all at some level. What is scary to some isn’t for others, don’t let other people laugh at your fears, they are genuine and justified! Learning to confront and deal with our fears is part of life. How you choose to deal with your fear obstacles will determine how far you go in life. As you remember back to that fear you overcame, what did you do to overcome it?

If you can relate to the exercise above, why not think about that a little longer while I share my favorite quotation:

“Fear lives in the future.

Regret lives in the past.

Live in the Present, for that is what it is, a gift.”

AND that is my best advice to you when dealing with FEAR… bring it into the present moment. If you’d followed the guidance of article one, you’ve written it down, you’ve taken it out of your head, now it’s time to live in the NOW.

Far too many people are not living the lives they were born to live, because they are afraid of what might happen. In all my years of working with people, the two biggest obstacles are fear of DEATH and fear of the UNKNOWN. Personally, I lump them both together, as none of us know what death actually is, so it’s unknown. So, what are they actually afraid of when they say they are scared of Death or the Unknown?

My answer is that they don’t know who they are.

I don’t want to get too philosophical, but we can’t know Death until we die, and by definition the unknown is unknowable, so why stress and worry about it? At the core of both is the questioner – your self – you are not dead, and if you know yourself, you know enough to live your life.

In Part Three we’ll look at actually tackling your fears head-on…

Christmas is a time for giving, a time for loving, and a time for sharing, but it can also be very stressful with all of the holiday shopping crowds vying to find that ‘perfect’ gift for somebody. my_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleMany people start to think about New Year’s Resolutions at this time of year, but the reason most people fail in their endeavors is they don’t have a workable plan of action.

“Just making a New Year’s Resolution won’t make it happen!”

In MY FIRST GOAL-SETTING BOOK – How To Effectively Set & Achieve Your Life Goals, Donnelly clearly lays out every step you need to take in order to prepare for RESULTS.

He uses clear, simple language with no ‘fluff’, just the information you need to succeed.

#EDUCATION: Why They WON’T Teach You This In School.

my_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleMost intelligent people around the world know that the education system needs a major overhaul. Most comprehensive schools are still teaching our children in much the same way as when the school system began over a hundred years ago. Our children are being trained to be what I call ‘job fodder’. The mainstream schooling system educates our children just enough to get a job, and perpetuates the MYTH that we should all get a ‘good’ job, work hard, and then enjoy life in retirement (if we make it that far!)

Have you ever stopped to ask WHY the school system doesn’t educate people how to be successful?

The knowledge is there. The willingness to learn is there. So, why do governments not want our children to have the necessary skills in life to succeed? I mean, isn’t that what all parents want for their children? Isn’t that what we want for ourselves?

One very simple and easily implemented change is to teach our children how to set proper, realistic goals. Just learning this one, easy skill has the power to transform your life forever. In my latest publication, “My First Goal-setting Book”, I clearly lay out the simple steps you need to take back control of your life. Although it is primarily aimed at teenagers and young adults, it is also of tremendous value to people of all ages. These are tried and tested steps that I have used to great success personally and with hundreds of people around the world.

Every book you buy allows me to give one away to a child that needs to read and use it, but can’t afford to buy one.

IF YOU TRULY CAN’T AFFORD TO BUY A COPY OF MY BOOK, PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL AND I’LL SEND YOU A FREE PDF COPY. IT IS MY GOAL TO GET THIS MESSAGE OUT THERE, NOT JUST TO GENERATE MORE MONEY. SIMPLY CLICK ON THIS TEXT.

Rachel McAdams: Who Do You Love?

rachel-mcadams-gets-new-boyfriend (2)In such a PC world as this, do people still have ‘pin-up girls’? Can one even still use the word ‘pin-up girl’? I don’t know, and truthfully, I don’t care! I do, but I don’t. I think most people can relate to that, right?

I don’t actually know what a ‘pin-up girl’ really is! To me, a pin-up girl is someone that you admire, perhaps adore, look up to, aspire to be, or see something in them that you’d like to be like, have, or want.

We’ve been so confined, constricted, and constipated by being seen to ‘do and say the right thing’, but what is right and what is wrong?  Where are the true role models that can lead the way?

“The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is looking.”

John Wooden

My confession, if you hadn’t already guessed, my ‘pin-up girl’ is Rachel McAdams (did the photo give it away?) I don’t know that much about her, but from what I’ve seen, and what I feel, is that she’s a very grounded, normal, smart, attractive, and committed person. All traits I aspire to have! I think and dream of meeting her – and I’m certain I will – I don’t know how, but that’s not up to me! But I know when we meet it will be such a normal meeting, like old friends that knew each other years ago, but we mis-recognised each other!

For me, Rachel McAdams is the essence of who I feel I am meant to be with. I can’t make her love me, and I can’t love her without feeling her energy, but I’d like to. How on Earth are celebrities allowed to date? Isn’t our talent enough! We are not gods! Leave us alone! But we don’t want to be alone!!!

Golly! That was a big confession…

A-hem!

So, back on track… Who do YOU love? Have you started with loving yourself? Aren’t you good enough? You are. Give yourself a hug, or better still, give someone close to you a hug – now! Didn’t work? Perhaps your dream or ‘pin-up’ is as extreme as mine. Maybe you have to ask yourself, “What kind of a person do you have to become to attract them to you?”

Don’t Put People On Pedestals

There is only ONE person you should compare yourself to: The Person You Were Yesterday. The wonderful thing about this world is that everyone is equal: we were all born, we will all die, we all have choice… Ah! Here’s where the ‘rub’ comes…! In a year that SHOULD be celebrating equality, it should be celebrating WORLD PEACE.

IMAGINE if all the people in the world, just for one minute, (one second!) stopped thinking what they were thinking, stopped doing what they were doing, and actually contemplated WORLD PEACE, thought about happiness, thought about YOU being happy, thought about, “How do I want to feel LOVE?”

What would the world look like? Brandson knows… Elon knows… Warren knows… Gates knows… Facebook-bloke knows… Amazon-bloke knows…

Anthony and Rachel’s World

In OUR world, we live in abundance… and we share it!

I have enough, and you can have food…

I have more than enough, and you can have a proper education…

I have water, and you can have clean water…

I have love, and I am the world.

The Perfect Christmas Present

The Christmas madness has already begun: promotions in shops… bookings at restaurants… the commercials on TV… that arduous search for the ‘perfect’ gift for a friend or loved one…

my_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleIf you are having trouble deciding what to buy as a gift for someone at work, or that friend that seems to be impossible to please, or perhaps you know someone that always sets New Year’s Resolutions, but never manages to keep focused and keep them, this might just be the perfect gift for them.

I wrote it specifically for that person just starting out on the process of taking more control of their lives and wanting to know the basics and the ‘how to’ of setting goals that CAN be achieved easily.

It’s a short book, easy to read, and written in plain English, because unlike many other books on the same topic of goal-setting, I specifically wrote this book to be USED, not just read and discarded without action. Although I cannot make any guarantees that you WILL hit your goals, I can guarantee that if you apply the simple principles in this book and stick to your plan, you will eventually succeed at whatever you have set out to achieve.

In this book you will learn…

  1. …that you already set goals, you just don’t do it consciously!
  2. …why it’s important to set clear, written goals.
  3. …how to construct a goal you’ll stick to.
  4. …a step by step formula to build plans that work to hit your goals.
  5. …and much, much more!

So, if you’re stuck for Christmas present ideas this year… why not consider buying a copy of this book.

Happy Holidays to you all, thanks for reading, and please feel free to share this far and wide.

Face-tox Diary: Day Four – “Are You Okay?”

I didn’t write yesterday, as I was too busy doing things. It’s amazing what you can do when you are not distracted with Facebook crap anymore! I got to play 18 holes of golf… the garden looks great… I actually enjoyed the garden for a change… I’m reading more books…

BUT, I had to write today, as after four days, finally somebody has noticed I’m NOT on Twatbook – sorry, Facebook – anymore. A text arrived this morning shortly after 7am:

“I couldn’t find you on Facebook, are you okay?”

What a lovely text to receive (I just wish they hadn’t sent it so early, as I was fast asleep after a late night reading, and had nothing much to wake up for that early!) I’m probably an unusual Twatbooker, as almost all of my (less then 100) Twatbook friends are actually ‘friends’, people I’ve actually met in person, or are family – hence so few!

Some I have already personally been in contact with, but it was rather surprising that after four days only ONE person had noticed that I was no longer online. I wonder how many of you that have waaaaayyyy more ‘Twatbook Friends’ (most of which you don’t actually know) than me realise that the vast majority of your ‘Friends’ have probably ‘muted’ your feed, or don’t take any notice of you, or have so much Twatbook-misinformation coming at them that they don’t really care what the crap is happening in your life?

I can definitely say detoxing from Twatbook is much easier than detoxing from smoking! By day four I would be craving a fag something wicked, and almost wanting to kill somebody! In comparison, Twatbook-detox is very painless and very rewarding. For four days I have not been exposed to stupid, uneducated opinions about the election, what people have been eating, pictures of cats, mindless quotations that say, “Like if you agree” or any other mindless crap that says the same, or, “Read this, it’s AMAZING…!”

Dumb, mindless, Twatbook, pricks!

I’m sure if you are reading this and still a Twatbook member, you’re smart enough to read the humour, and are probably trying to work out how the heck you can get out of the trap that is TWATBOOK…!

My best advice for the election, since it’s tomorrow, is don’t vote. If nobody voted, they’d realise that we all know we don’t live in a democracy, it’s just a farce. They don’t act on our behalf, so why vote for them? They are all elitist snobs, that are educated the same, indoctrinated the same, brown nose the same, and have the same INTERNATIONAL paymasters!

I think Guy Fawkes was on the right trail…

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:

Dr Wayne DyerI’m not really one for making resolutions for New Year, but at this time I do like to reflect back on the past few months and take stock. Like many of you, I’m sure, this has been a great year, but also a bummer of a year. I lost two very great and dear friends: Dr. Wayne Dyer, a motivational force in my life, and Richard Anthony Eyre, an old school friend.

Richard Eyre
Richard Eyre 1970 – 2015

They will both be missed.

On the upside, I’ve met and made numerous new friends, mostly in the film and TV industry. Another positive to the year: I’m very excited at the great progress I’ve made since April of breaking back into the acting world again. A short film I starred in landed at Cannes, thanks to the wonderful director Miho Sugita. I finally got an agent! And I have two new film scripts doing the rounds. It’s almost as if my life has come full circle and I’ve arrived back where I was before I left sixteen years ago!

On the writing front, my books continue to sell – Thank you all for that! Although I feel a little lazy at not having completed ALL the new books I had planned to publish this year, they are still in the works and WILL BE published in 2016. How about that for positive thinking?!

Talking of positive thinking, it’s been wonderful to connect with some old friends (Tony Wilson, and Trevor Oakland, to name just two!) from the distant past and indulge my other passion for self-development and motivation. When there’s something you just can’t help yourself from doing, then that’s a good sign you should be doing it (if it’s positive in nature!)

Did I Give Enough, Live Enough, Laugh Enough, and Love Enough…?

When I reflect back on this year, there’s one question I ask myself, and that’s written above. I have certainly laughed a lot this year, thanks to new friends, Stephen, Jo, Louise, Helen, Ness, Rachael, and Darryl. Did I give enough…? I’m sure I could have given more, but within my financial constraints I think I gave as much as I could monetarily, on a personal level, definitely! As far as living enough, I don’t think there’s much more this little chap could have crammed into the last 12 months. I always consider myself as lazy, but then look at what I’ve managed to do and wonder why I keep thinking that! And then there’s love… ah, that sweet, alusive thing… As far as giving my love away, that has been joyously done over the year. More on a platonic level than romantic, but there is always hope…! I’m sure, somewhere out there, there is a young lady that has the patience to put up with my ‘insanity’.

Well, if you’ve read this far, I commend you. What a ramble! Here are the links to my free books. Enjoy! Share! And for all of you I have not yet wished a very Merry Christmas and a superb New Year, that was it.

How To Run A Successful Crowdfunding Campaign: Crowdfunding 101

It is important to remember that Crowdfunding sites are businesses, businesses that want to make money. It is equally important to realize that raising any amount of money via crowdfunding should be approached with a plan. The more money you are hoping to raise, the more important it is to have a solid plan, and a strong team to help you. Like anything you want in life, it takes a lot of hard work.

Money-Pile-psd74096I’ve helped many fundraisers reach their targets with the following tips and advice. It’s common sense when you read it, but you’d be amazed how many projects don’t use these simple tips, and that’s why they fail to reach even a fraction of their target. The following tips were offered recently to a group of film makers and they followed my adice to the letter. They surpassed their target by OVER THREE TIMES the original amount…!!! I’ll be using the advice I gave them in the post below, so if you’re not trying to fund a film, just change their project idea for your own.

So, if you want to give YOUR campaign the best chance of success, read on…

SPLIT YOUR CAMPAIGN UP

Realistically, you need to split your campaign into multiple sections: prelaunch, launch, mid-launch, and the final push. So many fundraisers simply post up their project and hope for the best. Unless you already have a very large, strong following, your project is almost destined to fail. The larger the amount of money you plan to raise, the earlier you should begin. In the tips below I’ll expand on these different phases of your campaign. The promotional work for your campaign can start up to six months or a year BEFORE you activate your crowdfunding program.

WHICH SITE TO CHOOSE?

There are many sites out their to use for your campaign. Personally I prefer this one: www.crowdfunder.co.uk They have what’s called a ‘stretch target’, which allows you to set a lower, more achievable target, then increase it to a bigger amount. Details on the site. Most people know of ‘Kickstarter’ and ‘Indigogo’, and there are many others now. Research the sites, look at their campaigns. Which site you end up using is entirely up to you, and if one doesn’t work, replan your campaign and launch it on one of the other sites.

USE SOCIAL MEDIA

If you have the budget and can create a really good one, invest in your own website for the project. This isn’t essential to success, but it will give you a slightly more professional edge. Especially if you are asking for a large amount of money, the more serious you can show people you are the better.

If not, at the very least, create a FB page and an event page (and preferably a blog also) about the film project and fundraiser. Promote the heck out of it and ask people what rewards they are most interested in (film posters, a chance to be on set, a chance to hold the clapper board, credits on IMdB, etc.) Get as many people as possible involved as early as possible BEFORE you launch your crowdfunding event.Far too many people just jump right in with no planning or preparation, once the campaign launches the clock is ticking down! Make every day count.

GET EARLY PLEDGES

Get some early pledges, then you can judge how much MORE work you’ll need to do to promote the campaign! Remember, you don’t have to have all the rewards printed and ready at this stage, you can do that (and pay for them) with the raised funds, you just need to give an idea of what you can offer (and know your costs, so you’re not losing money)

Nobody wants to back a loser. This is why it is VITALLY IMPORTANT to get some early promises from close friends, family, and people that follow you. Engage them early and let them be ‘insiders’ – they will be the ones to hear news first, they’ll be offered exclusives, etc. Ideally you want to have about 30% of your target pre-pledged. When you start your campaign, follow up with these people and have them activate their promises on the site.

Why is this so vital? Two main reasons: 1) A good early start to your fundraising will show others that people are actively interested in your project. As said, nobody wants to back a loser! 2) The more interest your campaign gets, the more the site will actively push you. As I said at the start, they are in the business of making money, if they think your project has a good chance of reaching its target (and hence THEM getting their fees!) they will promote it.

BLOG OFTEN – KEEP YOUR AUDIENCE ENGAGED

Write blog articles (they can be short) about the project, why are you doing it? What was the inspiration for the script? Who’s involved? Etc. It makes you all seem more REAL that way, and PASSIONATE about what you’re doing. Keep them short and regular, lots of pictures. Blogs allow you to use lots of tags, and the more articles and information you have about your project will not only make it more interesting, but easier to be seen online.

PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE

Don’t just focus online. The more people are becoming Internet dependent, the fewer people are utilizing traditional media. Approach the local papers and radio station with the fact you’re doing a fundraiser. Tell everybody and everyone about your project. Why is it important? Why is it important to you? Who are you? Why are you doing this? Who will it help? Does it have a human interest angle? The media is always after a good story, and if they pick it up, this is fantastic exposure for your project.

Remember: You have to be the most passionate person in the world about your project, if you’re not excited, nobody else is going to get excited about it either! Always be promoting your project, you never know who you are talking to or who they know.

DON’T JUST RELY ON ONLINE CROWDFUNDING

Approach local businesses and ask for a small donation.Although crowdfunding is an online platform, you cannot be shy about your financing goals. How badly do you want or need to raise this money? You have to be prepared to do the uncomfortable (do what others are unwilling to do) and you will succeed. What can you offer them in trade? Can you offer them some promotion on your sites, perhaps give them a credit in the film? In some cases you may find a business owner that would like a role and be prepared to pay for the honour!

BE ORIGINAL

People who do the unexpected get noticed. This next tip is another ESSENTIAL to success. It’s not easy to arrange, but much easier than you’d think. Hold a launch party… pick a popular location, a pub or café, and promote the fact you’re doing a DAY ONE campaign launch. Most premises have slow days during the week and an unusual, well-promoted event to bring in warm bodies that may spend money their are always welcome. Have laptops there so people can go straight to the site and pledge. Have the crew take it in shifts if need be, but really push hard on the first day. The more pledges you get as early as possible, the more exposure online it gets!

Be creative for this event. Maybe do a joint venture with the location and offer free or discounted drinks and food. Have some of the actors do a partial script read through – not only is this good promotion for the film, it’s something unique. If you’ve put in the correct amount of work in your prelaunch preparations, have contacted the press, have created a good buzz and got early pledge promises, by the end of your launch day event you may be surprised to find you have between 30 – 50% for your target already! Believe me, it’s happened on more than one occasion.

IT AIN’T OVER TILL IT’S OVER

Keep the pressure on throughout the campaign. If you raise your target, push for more. Keep your pledgers in the loop with progress, keep them engaged. Blog about progress. If you have their details, PERSONALLY thank those that have already made donations. I can’t stress this enough. The more personal and involved you make things, the better people will feel about their pledge. If you can’t do it in person or make it personal, record a short thank you video – let them see the emotion in your eyes!

So many people forget to keep pushing, yet it’s amazing the number of people that will INCREASE their pledge amount, if they know how much you care!

THE LAST MILE

The final push. If you still need to raise funds to hit the target, plan a LAST DAY push – you could even invite people to the event (like the launch) and invite the press along. If you’ve run most of the marathon, why fall at the final mile? Have a back-up plan for the possibility of not hitting your target by the final few days. Hold a final push party. Give people a reason to come and to donate. Again, make sure you have your team there and the laptops.

THE ALL-IMPORTANT FOLLOW-UP

Most importantly, at the end, thank everybody involved and fulfill your promise – send out the rewards. Following up doesn’t have to be left until the end. By making follow-up part of your routine, you won’t have a huge job at the end (which you may forget or overlook!) You may be very pleasantly surprised how many people actually want to be part of your project and want to help, if they are acknowledged and rewarded accordingly.

PLAN TO SUCCEED – A CLOSING COMMENT

I advise people to be ‘realistically optimistic’. What do I mean by this? Plan for success, but realize you are better to lower your target to a figure that’s achievable, rather than be unrealistic about your funding objective. Remember the goal is to reach the target you set (hence I like the sites with a stretch target) Whatever YOU think is achievable, if you don’t have the evidence to back it up (i.e., a huge support pool, early pledges, a previous success story, etc.) you are far better off reevaluating your target, sometimes this can be by 30% or more. Don’t be discouraged by this. Either delay your launch until you have more backing, or face facts, you’ll have to get the rest of the funding from somewhere else!

It’s also VERY WORTHWHILE letting potential backers know how much you have on the line. How much have YOU put in? If the answer is zero, then you might want to rethink. If you aren’t prepared to put YOUR money into YOUR project, don’t expect anybody else to either!

As said, all common sense WHEN YOU KNOW. If raising money was easy, everybody would just post up their campaign and sit back and wait (which is what the failing campaigns do!) But it isn’t easy, it takes work, it takes commitment, and most of all it takes planning. Like all overnight success stories, you don’t hear about all the hard work and effort that goes in BEFORE the success happens.

If you fail to hit your target, analyse what went wrong. Were your incentives off-target? Did you start too soon with not enough pre-pledges? Did you create enough awareness and early support? If you did all the things above, and still failed to reach your target, perhaps your figure was too ambitious, or your project just doesn’t have the right appeal to a crowdfunding audience – ask for feedback.

Good luck with your next funding campaign, and remember: The more effort you put in BEFORE your campaign launches, the more successful you will be! Get creative, get people involved, and have fun with it, it’s a long, hard process, so enjoy the journey!
